Manager Spotlight

El Presidente — Andrew Cox

1. What’s your favourite football memory?

“Watching Mexico ’86 live on TV — Josimar’s incredible goal, Gary Lineker’s hat-trick and Maradona’s Hand of God. Those moments have stayed with me ever since.”

2. Who’s your favourite player of all time?

“Paolo Maldini — an amazing player.”

3. What inspired you to create WALESFPL?

“I started with a tabloid fantasy league but found it limited. Then I joined a work league, which was fun but lacked excitement.

Over a decade ago, I created WALESFPL. It’s grown into our own football world — bringing loads of us together, with weekly targets and prizes that give everyone something to play for.”
